i am moving from NY to FL. i don't have much to pack, so the 10 foot truck iks out. besides getting a trailer and a hitch, would shipping my things be less expensive?

ouch - seems kind of steep. will you need the hitch later?

i'm asking 'cause you may be able to get about the same deal if you rent a truck and a trailer from somebody else. plus, you'd save the wear-and-tear on your car.

Will it fit in a cargo van? If so, talk to enterprise and see if you can rent one from them? Shouldn't be more than $100 or $200 for it.

then he still has to worry about getting his car down there, too, though.

well....if he can get a van for $100-$200, he can get a plane ticket for another $100 and have a friend drive one of them and then fly back home...still save $300 :)

true. plus skymiles ;)

rental agencies rape you on one-ways, though. of course, the friend could drive the van back, saving even more cash.
