Moving Windows XP

Hello

I am planning on buying a second hard drive, a raptor or a smaller hd then my current 250 gig Seagate. I want to know if there is a way to move my OS over to the smaller HD without having to reinstall XP and wipe my 250 gig?

Or will I have to backup my hd, wipe the hard drive(250 gig Seagate) and re install Windows Xp Pro onto the smaller hd?

Thanks

Frank

Hmm... bigger to smaller....

Partition your bigger hard drive so that all your non system data is in a primary partition (ie. program files and main windows folder) or if you dont care just uninstall games and such

then simply clone that partition to the new HD. most cloning software will make the original partition inactive.

After that you just need to either reformat the old primary and use it as normal.
