Moving to Waikiki/Honolulu. Anything I should know about?

I'd tell you to contact Whoozyerdaddy. He's from there and was really helpful when I was visiting HI and had lots of questions. But I think he was banned for some unknown reason

Whoozyerdaddy is on Maui I believe, not Oahu.

that said I'm sure he knows just as much about Oahu as he does Maui.

fuck i want to go back to hawaii!!!!

You will find out that trying to run two locations will eat into your profit margin considerably if you are flying back and forth.

Figure $1K per trip minimum for flight, rental and lodging.

Hmmmm... I've been able to run everything remotely thus far. No flying necessary. Been doing it for a year.

Visited Hawaii a couple of months ago for my honeymoon. I would not wanna live in Waikiki/Honolulu. Maui and Kauai I would move to in a heartbeat if I could find a job there.

I was there in Feb. Traffic is horrible, but I could understand why you would want to stay there. Any thought to moving along the north shore instead? Shrimp shacks FTW!

You think I am a liar because you jelly bro.

Where have I ever lied here?

odd coincidence! friend just posted on fb that he got a good job in Honolulu and is moving there soon!

yea, im jealous!

Oh, and can I come visit so I can learn to surf? I tried it for my first time 3 weeks ago and am dying to get better. 😀

To me, Waikiki and Honolulu are basically SoCal. Once you get away from the hugely touristy areas, Oahu becomes A LOT more appealing.

Hells yeah dude! I have historically been the worst at doing anything involving a moving board. I don't think I can even stand on a skateboard without falling off. Don't get me started on snowboarding or wakeboarding. But I might as well try surfing. I just have very low expectations.

Ah, I've come a long way since declining my first job offer at Avnet and being that homeless guy crashing at your place for a few 🙂

Hah...yes you have. Keep me posted on Hawaii, I was actually already thinking about going there for 2-4 weeks this year/next.
