...most ppl leave Scarborough to move to areas like Unionville/Richmond Hill/Markham...you moved here. Im in oakville really nice here. Type of place where you dont have to lock your doors at night or if you leave your car running in the morning you dont have to worry if it'll still be there in 5 minutes...

Yonge is the main north-south street in Toronto, with Bloor being the main east-wester. The intersection of the two is the heart of downtown TO (a clever acronym for "Toronto"). Yonge and Eglinton would place you directly on a subway line and it's not even a bad part of town, I know a couple of people from around there. The only advice I can give is if you won't have a car, try to live as close to your place of work as possible. Commuting in the city is a bitch.
