Just looking for advise on good affordable neighborhoods
Would like an apartment with dryer / washer / 1 bedroom

Commuting near the airport, don't care much for the party scene

Any locals here ?

Communing near the airport is a good idea. You are more likely to reach a higher plane. Just be sure to wash your hands when you're done. You wouldn't want to catch a terminal illness.
 
Newer communities are North and East of airport.

Denver is 15 miles West, but longer depending on traffic.

They are builing light rail to airport. Should be completed in 2016.
 
Don't have any housing advice to give, but the one restaurant I enjoy at Denver International Airport (pretty sure they have other locations in the Denver area) is Elway's. Order their Short Ribs (top right pic) and Classic Ding Dong (bottom right pic). :thumbsup:
