Moving to Canada

If you're looking to get a head start making money then move to Edmonton, or closeby. Work in the oilsands for whatever company you choose. A good choice is getting your class 1 license and driving truck for a few years. 16 hour days but you get paid VERY VERY well. Living is long and arduous. Do that for a few years then buy a nice place in Vancouver and get a regular job in publishing. Doing what you want to do takes courage, and working in the oilsands takes even more. The oilsands are sort of known as a place that will "Make a man out of you, but not in the way the the Navy does." Good luck to you man!

Just living in Fort McMurray will make a man out of you!

What part of Canada do you plan on moving to?

I wrote 'Toronto' in my application form so I will have to go there first. But the thing is I don't really know where it would be better for me to go. I don't speak French 😱

If you dont mind me asking, how old are you and what do you do?

I'm 26 and currently I work in publishing.

That shouldn't be a problem. English is spoken everywhere in Canada. Just stay away from Quebec if you don't like French 😉. Anglophones are in the majority throughout Canada, really.

Toronto is probably "the" place to be if you're an immigrant. There is a large immigrant population there and it's got a diverse culture. It's (IMO) the one Canadian city that offers the most economic opportunities. Good luck!
