Moving the Menu Bar in XP RC1

i'm used to having my start menu at the top of my desktop, and in every other version of windows i just had to hold down the left mouse button and drag it around. however, with WinXP RC1 i can't even widen it, let alone move it to the top... anyone got a clue?

Hiya,

My guess is you have the "Lock the taskbar" (or something similar) function active. I believe to change this Right click on the taskbar and click properties and there is a checkbox for this item. Uncheck it. Then it should work.

Sorry if this isnt exactly the process to get there - Im not looking at XP at the moment.
