Moving Sucks

We have all been through this many of times I am sure. I am not even into the full move yet. Just the Pre move. You know, where the current landlord wants to show the house that you are renting at all of the worst possible times. The guy actaully asked me tonight if I could not have the cats there when he was showing it. wtf, I pay rent. It is mine untill Dec 5th. So I nicely tell him this and he says fine. Fine?? Why not wait until I move out and then show the place.

i helped a buddy move last year, and the moving part was not fun, lift, set, lift, set, lift, se.....

as for the landlord part, i agree with you, its urs till the lease is up, not a day longer, not a day shorter

Wow, it sucks that he asked you to not have your cats around for showings. What should people care if the person before them had cats, anyways?

And I concur, moving does suck, as do showings. In our insane rental area, my bf and I will be signing a lease tomorrow, which will begin August of 2006. And they're showing our current place, and will continue to show it until it's rented. We've got our second showing tomorrow at 9am. It kinda blows, because I like to have things clean when people come over, but I don't clean often enough to keep up.

What really gets me is this. He knows we have two cats. We even had them put in the lease so he could not go back on it. If he is so concerd with the next people knowing this. Then why not wait until we are all moved out, and then show the place.

Hopefully these people will love the house and buy it. Then I do not have to worry about him dragging more people through.
