Moving: Ordering phone/3mbs DSL... Phone company says 2 weeks because they need to install a terminal

Apparently I have all the wiring in place in my new house, but the rep from the phone company said the engineers had to install some wiring and a new terminal for my service. Nothing to do with my home wiring.

Anyone know what this is? two or three weeks seems like a long time.

If you're getting new equipment, you may very well get awesome service.

Means either they have no one in your area with DSL service or that they have people in your area and they have reached their connection limit with the equipment they have there and have to expand what they have.

Yes, 2 weeks is about right for them to get new hardware installed..
