Moving from Europe back to North America

My girlfriend was in Europe for a couple years and has decided to move back for school and me. She has been living in Bucharest (Romania) and doesn't really have that much to move back that she can't fit in suitcases; however, there will probably be about 150 lbs of extra clothing/blankets/sheets and other miscellaneous items that she would like to bring back to Canada. What would be the cheapest/best option for shipping these items back? She would probably require a large box, but the items don't need to be back all that quickly. She's been searching the city trying to find something and is finding its more of a hassle than it should be. Also she doesn't really want to spend a lot of money shipping the stuff back as most of it can be bought again in Canada.

This is the magic sentence ... how much is too much for shipping? 'cause it's gonna be spensive!

Judicious application of this logic will help you throw away 80% of your stuff. Ship the rest.

Sell most of it and rebuy it in CA. Otherwise you'll be shipping it.

Sell it, give it to friends, etc.

It's going to be cheaper to buy new stuff than to ship it.
She could bring it as overweight on the plane, and get dinged, but less than mail would cost, i'm sure.

Living here in Europe and having done the move myself, if it's simple things like sheets, blankets, and clothing, just either give it away or sell it and buy replacements in Canada. It'll be much less of a hassle.
