Moving everything to a new drive....will Partition Magic 7 do it?

Got a new bigger drive today and wanted to just move everything from the old drive to the new. I've got the old drive set up with a 6Gb primary partition with WinXP and everything else (apps, data) on a 51Gb extended partition, both NTFS. I'd like to use another 6Gb partition for XP on the new drive and make the rest one big ext partition. Can I use "copy partition" in PM7 and move it all that way? If so do I need to create the new partitions on the new drive first and then copy? I've got 113Gb unallocated space on the new drive.

Thanks in advance

Partion black magic has screwed up my system so I steer clear of it. Norton Ghost is perfect for what you are doing.

Yes, you can. I recentley upgraded a 13GB 5400RPM Quantum Fireball to a 20Gig WD 7200RPM drive, and I made the PM7 Rescue disks and used them. I just hooked up the second drive to the system, copied all the partitions (although this system had only one) and then replaced the 13Gig with the 20Gig on the IDE Cable and has been working like a charm since.

EDIT: Just thought I'd add, you will need to resize the copied partition afterwards in order for it to use all the new space.

I used Power Quest's Drive Image to make an image of the drive I was going to replace on my second hard drive. Took out the old 8Gig and put in an 80Gig. used the floppys to boot the computer and copy the image back across. Worked great.
