Moving Day is here

It’s almost 100 degrees, the beds, dressers & fridge just left. Sitting here with two cats unhappy about being in carriers. We are here till they pull out the air conditioners. Then off to the new place to wait for Comcast.

We spent over a decade here...I am kinda sad, we had so many hopes & dreams moving in this place, cancer wasn’t one of them 🙁

My son has been like a super hero, helping out. I am going to pay him for sweeping up, light mopping & bathroom clean up. They are going to basically gut the place & told us not to worry about cleaning but we have never left an apartment filthy ever in our lifetimes so some cleaning has to happen. We are even paying the movers to haul the junk out.

Always a stressful time, so much stuff to move and organize. I remember moving from my parent's place, and I didn't even have that much stuff then. The good news is it lets you start fresh as far as how organized things are, and what not.

LOL, why would I kick Red, he hunted for a place on a budget that would allow me to bring our two cats. It’s smaller than our old place but I walked to the beach with my son tonight & it was wonderful!

The neighborhood is a mix of old school Italians & young people who seem to come from every part of the world. Our building is only a four plex so it still has that home type of vibe. I think I am going to like it here a lot.
