Have to move out of my one bedroom apartment end of next month. Moving from Michigan to Missouri. Any recommendations on moving companies or places to start a search for prices on a moving company?

I've never used one but I've had people who used Two Men and a Truck and had good results.

Just make sure whoever you go with gives you a signed contract with the price. And check that they are insured. There have been stories about moving companies that move your stuff and then decide to not give you your stuff until you pay them more money. That's when you call the cops immediately.
 
For a one Bedroom apt.

A couple of cold six packs
Two buddies
Plentry of blankets and boxes w/ tape
1 U-Haul truck with dolly.
