Moving back to Massachusetts, need suggestions for place near Ayer

Well since my GF got a Job in Ayer MA, I guess I am comming back home!!!

however I am from the South Shore (Braintree) and know little to nothing about the north west area just outside of Boston.

She will be working in Ayer, however I will be unemployed (Which sucks but oh well) but would like to be easily accessable to the city should I land a job there.

Wondering what places inbetween Ayer and the Metro Area we should be looking at, so far it is framingham, acton, Marborough and concord..

Don't want to break the bank either as I will be jobless and we have two cars.

Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Save your money, I'm paying well over 1k a month plus for a dump on the north shore and consider myself lucky as I'm allowed to keep my cats. Framingham might be your best bet.

Thanks for the Info...we have two cats which makes it even harder.

That coupled with the fact that we will be living on just her income for the time being as I hear the IT market is weak up there.

Oh well.

yeah it's rough here now for IT folks ,I'd advise that if you have any family or friends still here that you have then start looking for you immediately,it's hard to get a place here that's how tight the housing shortage is.

Hey thanks for the info.

Do you mean have family or friends look for an Apartment or a job for me 🙂....or both 🙂

All of my family and friends are on the south shore and they are not of much help.

I have yet to hear anything in regards to a job, I talked to a few recruiters up there and they said things were tight and that finding a ob was not easy.

We will have to live on her salary for a while, or at least until I get a job...but that isnt enough to support us with rent, she just bought a new car and other expenses...

I really am at a loss for what to do.

I'm just over the border in NH, and can vouch for the tight housing market here. You might want to try searching rent.net just to get a few phone numbers and start calling everywhere.

Bear in mind also the horrible commute your going to face up here. There's major construction on a lot of the highways up here and hours spent sitting in traffic is not unheard of.

Good luck 🙂

Thanks for all of the info....

Actually I suggested that we might want to look into New Hampshire as we are allready getting to the point where we are there (She keeps suggesting places that are further and further out)

oh well I am sure something will come up, or at least I hope it will.
