Hi, I currently have an old PC, with a 30 Gig HD. It's currently a slave drive, and I want to use it as the primary HD on my new computer. I also want to retain the current data in my HD. Can I do this? Will I need to take any extra steps?

It's super easy to do... just change jumper, plug it in and reinstall OS...

*It will prolly boot fine, but I suggest reinstalling OS

The OS isn't started from this HD right now. Should I create a partition, create an OS, then move it into my new computer? Or can I just install the OS after I move it in?

You can do it when you install it in your new pc, however, HAVE BOOT DISK READY.

You can't install another partition without reformatting, therefore deleting all data.

You can just install the OS on that drive, and your data will still be there.
