The Day After Tomorrow

I never knew anything about the plot before I started watching. People just told me it was good.

Starship Troopers

The commercials for that movie made it look awesome--explosions and Blur - Song 2 in the background, but the movie ended up being crappy.

Napoleon Dynomite, tons of people seemed to like this movie and i ahve no idea why.

I'm preparing to be let down by The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, i really want this move to be as good as the books were but I'm not sure they'll be able to pull it off.

Who cares if they're film majors? They're unproven students trying to comment on a movie made by REAL filmmakers that already have jobs.

Your classmates will probably end up working in blockbuster video giving their "educated" opinions to customers in the checkout lines.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen was the greatest dissapointment I can remember in a long time.
Without a Paddle gets an honorable mention, but I didn't expect much.

Anchorman was terrible. There were some funny parts, but it was a pretty stupid movie. After hearing a few of my friends ranting and raving about it, I thought it'd be better.

I didn't expect Van Helsing, Hulk, or Sky Captain to be good at all, but they were still kinda disappointing.

I did like Boiler Room though. (I know, it's from 2000 and not new, but it just popped into my head as I was typing)

"I went the white boy way of slinging crack-rock: I became a stock broker. "

I also liked Spacey's performance in Swimming with Sharks

I don't think I've ever been angrier than when I saw Hulk...not enough smashing and way too many feelings :|

From the previews of it, I didn't like it. So I was kinda prepared to be let down.

And yeah, not enough smashing. And I thought the cg wasn't that great either (but it could just be my bad memory)

Alexander the Great
Arthur
Land before Time II,III, IV . . 10 years later, I still hold this grudge.
Napolean Dynamite - I've been told you've got to watch it a 2nd time but I'd rather watch paint dry

On the opposite side of the pool, I have got to say that Hotel Rowanda was the best movie I had seen in the past few years (Excluding LOTR series)

Since I think most movies made after 2000 suck, its very hard to get disappointed.

But Episode 1 was a MAJOR letdown. It killed all my enthsiasm for Episode 2.
I also thought 'About Schmidt' and 'The Royal Tanenbaums' had much wasted potential.

And to the person who hated 'Resovior Dogs', I dont think anything will be good enough for you, kill yourself now. :)

A movie I thought I'd hate, but ended up liking..

Gangs of New York. Daniel Day Lewis as Bill the Butcher is amazing !

Donny Darko. Worst movie ever. I've watched all the extras and read all the interpretations, still an AWFUL movie.
Requiem for a dream.
Made.
Beautiful Girls.
Fargo.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind. Awful love story with some stilly plot.
A clockwork orange. Great book, boring movie.
Million dollar baby.
28 days later.
Moulin rouge.
Momento. Pure crap.

If I was good at remembering movies I could go on.

Napoleon Dynomite, and its not just me, I goto film school and just about everyother film major didn't like it either.
My gf would own you and all your classmates in film, she doesn't go to school for it. Also most film students are pretentious pricks who quickly coagulate into a clique of elitest pricks.

[Ben Still Move Here] - He needs to disappear for a while

Moulin Rouge - No nekked girls? Next.

Requiem for a Dream - OK how does this qualify as a movie.
