Movies that sequel surpassed the original?

I haven't seen Blade II yet, but I've heard it's got a better story that the original. Can anyone confirm for me?

Aliens didn't hold a candle to Alien. Alien broke the mold and was an incredible flick. Aliens just capitalized on that. I mean...it had Bill Paxton in it...c'mon 😉

And Die Hard 2? That BLEW! BLECH!

Die Hard 3 was, imo, better than the original, though.


But the best sequel is Empire Strikes Back...awesome!

And Wrath of Khan compared to the 1st Star Trek movie? NO comparison...it ROCKED! 😀

IIRC, "Mad Max"(1979) was released in the U.S. AFTER "The Road Warrior,"(1981) although it is the first in the series. They also dubbed over Mel Gibson's voice to give him a western cowboy accent.

Some movies from the top of my head are Terminator 2 was so much better then the original Terminator.

I can't think of one...as far as terminator the first one was much better IMO.

Well the first 1 (Gibson played the suicidal loose cannon maverick cop Martin Riggs character very convincing) and last are the best ones. 2 and 3 were good also but the fight scenes in 4 are really good and thus supasses the 2 and 3.
