ET sucks donkey balls. I TRIED to watch that movie and I can sit through anything, I turned that crap off after 15 minuets and screamed flailing my arms. It was garbage.

God I love that movie. I was waiting the whole video just for the "money shot" (where it shows him holding his tinkie winkie between his legs".

lots of old movies. yes..tron. wtf were they thinking.
old comedys don't work. comedy has to be relatable to be really funny. look at chaplin. do you really lol at it? hell no. let alone comedy from even 20 years ago...
even stuff like fast times at ridgemont high just doesn't connect now. i watched it just because the geezer critics always refer to it..
old stuff like katherine hepburn stuff or hitchcock..i just can't get into it on more than "its interesting to see the past" level. probably the only truely timeless movies are the great musical ones.

25 years old, and still funny as hell!

Lol, that's exactly what I was thinking when I was reading his post... well, that and that he's probably 15 and "geezer" means anyone out of college 😛

heh i was just trying to rile up the "geezers". but its just how it is, many films are most relevant to the people who they were made for, and thus don't age well.

have you seen citizen cain? sometimes i get the impression that if you don't praise the hell out of it, you don't have any credibility as a film buff😛

That music video is fvcking sweet. It's impossible to improve upon it. 😀

It's not possible to improve upon 'Silence of the Lambs' either.

ditto

Older and better than those...

Anything dependent on computer special effects. The old star wars movies will stand for a while yet, but those new ones are going to suck worse than they already do 10-15 yrs down the road.

when i first saw rising sun a while ago, i thought it sucked.
it's based on a crichton book which is actually really well done. the movie (like most adaptations), doesnt do the story justice and totally destroys the story.

i recommend the book if you havent read it.

Jurassic Park, Ace Ventura

What??? Jurassic Park is AWESOME! DINOSAURS, HELL YEAH! (And they still look damn good).

The English Patient can go in the garbage can, as far as I'm concerned. 3 hours of BORING.

The Birds.

how about that movie. that movie was supposed to be the scariest movie of its time, yet could compare nothing to todays movies.
