I'm watching Jackie Chan: Kung Fu Master. So far it's pretty terrible, and I really am not a Chan fan anyway. I was thinking it might be similar to JCVD, which I enjoyed, but it's feeling more like My Name is Bruce.

10 Items or Less Morgan Freeman
While researching a role for an independent film, an aging actor (Morgan Freeman) strikes up an unlikely -- and life-changing -- friendship with a feisty young Latina grocery clerk (Paz Vega) in this inspiring comedy from writer-director Brad Silberling. Stranded at a tiny market on the edge of Los Angeles, the famous actor accepts a ride from the sassy store employee, and the odd couple hits the road on a trip filled with surprising revelations.

Wasn't bad

My friend keeps telling me to watch Being John Malkovich. Surprisingly I have not seen it yet still, even though I had it on my Netflix instant queue and love the guy as an actor. Maybe I should watch it.

Came in to say this one. So awesome.

I can't really think of any others right now. :hmm:

Have you seen/did you like this?

I'm not a huge Al Pacino fan, to say the least, so a friend who is insisted I see it and I thought it was great. Led to me being better able to tolerate the little scenery chewing ham.

I would say yes but in real life he's gay and in those movies he plays a straight guy.

Exactly. He played a character of himself, not the true self.

That's why he's credited as:

"Neil Patrick Harris as Neil Patrick Harris"

instead of

"Neil Patrick Harris as himself"

Thanks imdb.

In that case, how do we really know if the actors is actually acting or being themselves in a movie since they are still reading off a script? For example, would Bill Murray act like he did in Zombieland, he took getting shot pretty well. Same goes for John Malkovich. So how is it any differrent if Neil Patrick Harris was given a script where he's not actually himself?
