Wifey is taking the kids out of town for the weekend so I have loaded up on movies that I have wanted to watch that she wouldn't care for.

So far I have:

- Firefly All Episodes
- Serenity DVD (directly after Firefly)
- Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick
- Batman Begins
- Babel
- Orphanage
- Troy

This in addition to copious amounts of Mass Effect which I just started.

I am not going to be a couch potato the whole weekend though as I plan on riding my mountain bike both Friday and Saturday.

Skip Babel. Not worth wasting valuable "mancation" time on. And I've never heard of orphanage.

Reason #1,098,936 I'm never getting married...

When the wife leaves you alone for the weekend the "fun thing to do" is laying around watching movies.

Yea I agree about Babel, I expected it to be better. Good storylines but they leave you wanting more or at least some closure.

The Masseuse

Isn't that the movie with Jenna Jameson in it? The one with the weird dude with the bondage fetish?

That's because it's a Spanish movie that recently came out here on DVD.

EDIT:

<-- watches a lot of movies... usually one every night.

I think tonight is Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins (I seem to enjoy anything with Martin Lawrence in it... even though he always makes fun of the man ) or I may continue to watch Weeds instead. I need to rewatch Hellboy since the sequel is coming out and I barely remember anything about the first one other than the Nazis at the beginning. I've got a movie called "The Hammer" with Adam Carolla in it and a couple other movies that I found. Yesterday I saw Street Kings which was kinda like Training Day in a way, but with Keanu "Woaaaah" Reaves.

It's not so much the married part...it's the kids part.

You have no idea how much simple pleasure you get out of being able to watch a 2 hour movie without an interruption.

Bingo! My wife & kids are away tonight, so I'm going home, popping a beer, and putting on a movie. Its boring, unproductive use of time and I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.

What's with all the porn references. Kids are generally in bed by 9:00 and my computer room is up stairs so I have plenty of time to surf porn...with or without the wife :)

Bingo...you both nailed it. I have a 7 and a 3 year old daughter so three days of having no one to entertain but myself is a little bit of heaven. However, by Sunday I will be ready for them to be home. Pastore also failed to notice and/or mention I said was going mountain biking on Friday and Saturday so it's not just "laying around watching movies".

IcebergSlim
skip the orphanage

Really? Looks creepy, has good reviews and I loved The Labyrinth.

As far as Babel goes...I saw the first 10 minutes the other night and was intrigued enough to add it to the list. It's at the the bottom though.

No house projects to work on? I love having free time to relax like that but I feel like shit if I don't get anything done. :(

I might clean up my computer room but no, other than that I plan on doing no "honey dos" and I will not feel at all bad about it :)
