I'll second or third or fourth The Longest Day. A huge amount of star power in that one simply due to the scale. It's old school actors, but if those don't count then you might as well not count any of these because those people made Hollywood what it is.
The Longest Day
A Bridge Too Far
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
All flush with stars.
The Player wins though.
It is a movie about hollywood. Every scene has someone famous in it. The stars are stars, the bit parts are stars, and the extras are stars. AND it's a great movie with a great twist at the end!!!
Yep, in The Player, I count 63 names that I know, easily trouncing Cannonball Run 2. I have not seen this movie but it looks pretty darn good (7.8 on imdb.com)
I'm amazed that you actually thought of It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World, that gets my vote. The only difficulty is that most of the people here don't know who any of those stars are - far too young. I'm the only old movie fan under thirty it seems. And you guys should be specifying the NEW Ocean's 11. The original, in case you don't know, was a Rat Pack film and though there are several stars, not enough to qualify for the top ten I wouldn't think.
<< It was one of those sh1tass movies with Cameos by everyone. >>
Cannonball Run was a great movie in its time. And those weren't cameo appearances. Roger Moore's was the only character that could be considered "cameo".
The original Blues Brothers and the second one. Both movies had many big name stars, including musicians. The Blues Brothers is still one of my all time favorite movies. It was started as a joke.
