I'll probably see it in theaters and loudly discuss the technical inaccuracies not of the plot and the movie in general - but I'll nitpick on the little air force procedural things.

As said, it is a rip-off of Macross plus. The necessary changes have been made to make the rip off less overt and to adapt it to a hollywood-style, american market.

Guess I will just watch Macross Plus again... or maybe just listen to the theme song, because the theme song alone owns the hell out of this movie.

How bout just waiting until the plane runs out of fuel? Duh.

Thats exactly what I wondered after seeing the trailer for the first time.

I can only assume it runs on some kind of nuclear fuel cell. What I want to know, is why doesn't it ever just run out of ammo and bombs? I mean the average attack jet/bomber doesn't have a payload to blow up a whole city once...how many could this one possibly hold?

Nope, no nuclear fuel cell.

*spoiler*

It pulls up to a giant refueling blimp. (I'm not joking)

That's terrible. They're breaking their backs trying to inject more retarded juice into this movie than it can even hold.

What a surprise. Another Hollywood sh!tacular based on nothing more than special effects and a ludicrous plot. It's getting very, very old.

I think the makes of this movie had recently realized how crappy the concept is. If you watched the trailers of this movie, they pushed the "OMG, teh plane is aware of itself!" since well, it's the main plot of the movie. Now, if you watch the commercials, they don't even mention it, almost pushing it as this fun flying movie with hot people.

Hahaha, I saw the new commercial and they made it look like a damn romance movie between the guy and the girl. It's hillarious how well they conceal the main point of the entire movie.
