Don't think so. About some 'elite' air force pilots that help get this new AI Jet off the ground, and then are supposed to go track it down after it gets a mind of it's own or something like that.

As is the case with a lot of new movies these days: Effects look cool, story/movie otherwise looks lame. (IMO)

I'm thinking that Jamie Foxx fought to have this movie shelved after he won that Oscar, but the studio probably said "Fvck You" and "We're gonna get your budding movie career off to a hellacious start."
 
And it's also coming from a director that's brought us classics such as "XxX" and "The Fast and the Furious"...

Yes, looks extremely lame but I'll probably end up seeing it at a matinee anyway.

umm.... was it just me, or did they give away the ENTIRE movie in the previews.... shouldnt they have left it at "he's aware of himself" as opposed to "OMG HE PWND TEH SITTY!!!"

im not gonna see this movie...sorry to say.

i had the impression that the AI goes rogue after being struck by lightning. kind of like the movie short-circuit, but different.

Except macross plus was about the rivalry between competing pilots,
the out of control AI was a subplot to make the big fight seem even more
over the top.

Plus it was good.

Plus it inspired one of the best Anime Music Videos ever made.
