Movie Project

What is the best software I can buy online for taking 170 .mpg video clips and putting them onto a DVD that is playable by a DVD player. I'm assuming Nero may do what I want but since I'm buying it to be used once I wanted to make sure I get something that will actually make this little project go as easy as possible.

Server's got plenty of spare cycles. Sure for a very small paypal amount (just postage/mailer) I could use Nero 9 to place them all on there and into a DVD.

But if you want to do it yourself, I just use Windows Movie Maker for simplicity. Simply drag/drop them all in and do effects. Export as DVD. Burn with a free program that can burn DVD structures like Nero, DVD Decrypter, and DVDFab. I'm sure there's many more. Nero also does it quite well, especially with Nero Recode built in which can convert all those .mpg to the proper size to fit on one DVD.

I would agree with the above post. Use WMM and then some good burning software which can burn DVD structures.
