movie night with your parents!

a few months ago i was keeping it sober and staying in on the weekends, usually heading to my dad's with a movie or 2 and chilling out. in a fit of madness one friday i brought "8 mile".

turns out he LOVED it. he couldn't understand a lot of the slang and i had to translate - which was equally amusing - but yeah i was very surprised he dug it. he was literally on the edge of his seat during the final scene. 🙂

anyone else have your parents like something unexpected like that?

That is always cool to hear.
I tried to give my mom some movies to see that she might get "caught up in" but she didnt.
I gave her Kinsey and she didn't get it. 😱
same with Hotel Rwanda.

wait wait, she couldn't get Hotel Rwanda? The events in that movie took place in '94...had she just not heard about it or something? I guess I don't get what there isin't to *get* in Hotel Rwanda 😛
