Why don't you people go read some of the commentary by actual architects who have studied what led up to the collapse of the building? Those are the comments you should be reading, not these tin foil hat retards talking about basketballs.

So, one situation is a perfect predictor of another? Seriously guys, every building is designed differently, this isn't apples to apples. I haven't studied B7 much, but I have heard that significant load-bearing supports were heavily damaged by rubble.

The reports were that WTC7 suffered severe structural damage on the side facing WTC1 and 2 due to falling debris. Couple that with a cantilivered support structure they used to build over the ConEd substation at ground level and some uncontrolled fires and presto...structural failure.

There was a large electrical substation blocking the site so the engineer's solution was to build a cantilevered support system to clear the substation and still provide sufficent support for the stucture above. WTC7 sustained severe structual damage to the lower south side and undoubtedly severely weakened this particular structure.
