Today, a thread on facet repair appeared in P&N, titled "DIY home reapir, need help: how do I fix a leaky fauce with a stripped screw?"

While my first impression is and remains, such a question does not belong in Politics and news,
none the less, having some prior DIY experience in the area of fixing such problems, I still made a stab at helping the OP on the thread. By the time I wrote up my response and posted, I found out the thread had quite properly been relocated, by an anand tech moderator, to some other anand tech forum subsection. I would have thought that the proper place for such a thread would have been highly technical or off topic, but the anand tech moderator in question never stated where the thread was relocated to. And when I subsequently looked, no such thread had been relocated to either of those areas.

So if I wish to follow such a thread to see if I can render further help to the OP, where do I find such a relocated thread once it vanishes from P&N? I just want to say I do not in any way question the moderator decision to relocate the thread, but I would hope that the moderators will as a matter of practice, will inform us all where the thread is relocated to. Unless such a thread is highly offensive or some such violations of forum rules, where total deletion would be the better course.

But all that was left was "Last edited by ElFenix; Today at 02:50 PM. Reason: Moved from P&N". I see there is a somewhat similar thread involving another issue is in off topic, but I can't find where this specific thread was moved to.

Highly Technical?
BWAHAHAHAHA!!

You may well be surprised at all of the high technology in a simple screw. After materials, manufacturing methods, after all the repair options and other factors are considered.

I would not be surprised, if you were presented the requirement to fix it or die, for the life of you, you couldn't figure out how to. I can think of many Ph'ds in scientific disciplines that would be baffled and clueless at even simpler problems. Even if they grasped simpler machining math problems easily.

We all have special talents, which make us good at some things.
And on the flip side, makes up terrible at other things.

The thread is in OT. The redirect is still sitting in P&N. Just click on it and it takes you to the thread. If you read the thread path at the top of the page (every thread had one), you'll see it is in OT. I set redirects for moved threads to 1 day.

I'm not really sure what the issue is here.
