I had a folder inside the My Documents folder and clicked and dragged to the desktop. That moved the folder, but right clicking and choosing Properties shows that the folder is empty, when it should be have almost 23GB (mp3's, video, docs) worth of files it!
This isn't the first time that dragging something to the desktop has caused this to occur. The first time was with a image folder on a digital camera. Dragged the folder to the desktop and the same thing as above happened.
Before I reinstall XP, any way to recover the data in that folder. When I look at the C: drive storage, it doesn't show those 23GB being freed up.
I tried a utility called Unlocker to see if Windows was doing some weird security with the file and it says nothing is locking that file.
What could I try next to recover that data?
