Movado Watches

Well I've been shopping for watches for my wife and I found this one:

Movado Kara

and thought it was something she'd like. That being said...I really don't know a lot about watches and whether Movado are any good. I'm not talking "watch collector good"...but something that should last her a decent amount of time?

Thanks for any input.

I gave that exact watch to my wife for Christmas. Check out Amazon. Best price I could find for it.

The biggest problem we had was finding someone to work on it. We needed links out of it. Most ordinary jewelry(Zales, Kay) stores won't touch it.

They might not have that exact model but overstock.com has great prices on Movado watches.

Thanks for the tip... the deal on Amazon seems pretty good...but I'll see if Overstock has the same deal.

Quartz and overpriced, but looks nice

Am I going to get anything other than Quartz at that price point?

What exactly is the price point? lol

A few heads up for you...

You can find way cheaper by scouring online for legit sites. Ashford.com is one. They are usually heavily discounted but NOT warrantied from teh manufacturer

Costco has a ton of watches

If you haev a connect, coach is having a 25% off peferred customer event. Their watches are made by movado

Well the price at somewhere like Zales is $895...but Amazon has it for $375 right now.

Interesting....who did you end up getting to work on it?

I just went to a high end local jewelry store and they had no problem dealing with it. They charged me $20 to take the links out.

Sweet...I'll just do that. I'm sure my wife will need a few taken out, her wrists are really small.

very nice watch. i bought my wife a Movado Esperanza almost 8 years ago and it's still going. Kay Jewelers took a few links out for us. You have to leave it with them and they ship it out to get it worked on.

I got a movado watch for christmas.

Its a simple, yet stunning design IMO.

I like mine, but I only wear it when i dress up

My parents have matching Movados, running strong almost 10 years now.

Yah, I got my parents matching Movado's (from Coach) for Father's/Mother's day

It was a nice gift considering they got me my Tag for my birthday haha

They're ok. Typically the most expensive watch you'll find at an ordinary jewelry store. I'm not a fan, but if you like the design, there's nothing wrong with them.

i have a cheaper brand made by MOVADO, ESQ. think i paid 395$ for mine.

very nice so far. heard only good things about both.
