No, I dont think your supposed to rinse after using it. What would be the point of using it if your gonna rinse out the fresh taste/smell with water? Anyways, I dont rinse.

I don't see why you wouldn't. That stuff is lethal to germs, why would you want the dead germs to just sit and rot in your mouth?

Plus you're not supposed to swallow that stuff and if you keep it in there you're obviously going to be taking some of it down.

The primary purpose of mouthwash is to kill germs. Fresh breath is a secondary purpose/result of using it. Rinsing with water is probably a good idea - you do it when you brush your teeth, don't you?

Let's not bring flossing into this debate. I have yet to figure out the proper order of all three. If given way too much time, I eventually do this...

Brush
Floss
Brush
Mouthwash
Brush

:p

I use Listerine, a king among floor cleaners, and I usually do a quick rinse afterward, just to make my mouth fresh instead of mouth-washy.

Floss, brush, rinse, Listerine, rinse, test smile! :D
