Mouses? Meeces?

Im trying to decide which mouse to get...im stuck between the Logi G5 and the MX518 mainly for the DPI for gaming purposes...any pros? cons? suggestions?

i think there is a new revision of the G5 that has an extra button on the side, a big plus since the original only has one. the only grip i have with the g5 is the wheel is too 'clicky', after awhile it has a cheep feeling to it, but i can say it still works great and overall the mouse is bulletproof. i bought this used and beat up, used it for a year, still going prefect.

Love my MX518. Never liked the G5, too problematic. My next Mouse will be a Razor though.

I use a MX518 because I honestly see no difference between the two. And the extra side button helps in FPS situations mmkoiii.

I have both and they are equally good.. the 2 side buttons is all i need in terms of extra buttons so .... yeah .. also i lik eht eweight cartridge in the G5 .. the 518 is a decent weight but if u like that exta weight go for the G5.... also the DPI changing is only useful while scouting and while doing 3D modelling.. sometimes in photoshop.. personally i prefer the G5 for my art and gaming needs but if u only need it for gaming i'd suggest the 518.

Mice, the dpi change isn't much of an advantage from what I hear. Logitech products rock their software is the worst I have used, ever.

I still <3 my mx1000

One of the most important features I look for when buying a mouse is the resistants when using the scroll wheel. I hate a mouse that has little or no resistants when using the wheel - I'll alway scroll past whatever weapon I'm trying to select when gaming, that drives me nuts.
I would check them both out at a local store if you can.

Im still 100% satisfied with my MX510, so if the MX518 is anything like the 510 thats the one I would go with.
