Mouse wrist pads? Anyone use one?

Do any of you use a mouse wrist pad? I was wondering because I noticed my right hand rests on the table when I am using my mouse. I know this can lead to ulnar nerve and carpal tunnel syndrome.

I have been noticing my hand becoming irritated from resting it on the table and have a feeling if I continue to do so it will eventually become damaged.

What are some of your recommendations to easing this? I understand I should try to keep it elevated if possible but would a wrist pad help?

I've use one for years and years and I'd never go back. I use 3M mouse pads with built in gel rests. $15-$20 but they last and last.

i'm currently using a mouse pad that has a small 5inch wide gell wrist pad. i change between that and a regular cloth mouse pad depending on my mood

i don'ot anymore, i just hold the mouse so my hand is tilted a bit. edge of hand is resting on table, not wrist. newer mice sometimes encourage this kind of hold...my mx1000 seems to. i know the ergonomic ms mouse certainly does. its a more natural position.

I have no mouse pad at all. Perhaps I should look into getting one though, might indeed be better for my hand/wrist ...

I never use a mouse pad, never felt the need for one. If after a few hours of gaming my wrist is a bit sore it's time to do something else!

Actually these are really cool to play with :D.

I have always used a mouse wrist pad. It is very comfortable that way.

A few years ago, I found I was getting a lot of pain after working for prolonged periods of time trying to do graphics work with a mouse.

I then switched to a Wacom digitizing pad for micro work, and a Wacom Graphire wireless mouse on the same pad for macro work. No more wrist pain!

I have used one for years and have never experienced any discomfort... even during long multi-hour gaming sessions.
