Mouse skips around when downloading

Whenever I download a large file (ex. streaming video, Steam game update, etc.) my mouse skips around the screen until it's done. Any ideas what could cause this?

Are you using wireless? It could be interference from wireless.

Yeah, wireless internet and mouse.

Try a different USB port for the mouse. The wireless on the mouse shouldn't interfere from wireless internet. They use completely different frequencies.

no they don't. they both use 2.4ghz, I have the same prob

op, plug one of those in or switch to an a network

Huh, I guess they do interfere when wireless is maxed out. Sorry about that, OP. You could try switching channels on your wireless network and see if that helps.

go to 1 or 11, it's unlikely this will help though.
