Mouse Recommendations?

My current MS intellimouse served me well but it has become a victim of beverage spillage and the right-click and middle-click no longer work.

I'd like to upgrade to a better and more linux compatible mouse but after all these years, I have yet to hear of a mouse with side-scroll that works straight out of the box. Does such a mouse exist?

It takes like 3 seconds to add buttons/wheels to the xorg.conf file. I don't think you will find anyone looking for a "Linux compatible" mouse.

I have a Logitech G7 (Wireless is kind of screwy) and all the buttons work great out of the box. On my T61 Laptop, I had to add a bunch of stuff to the xorg file to get the trackpoint, middle mouse button, etc.. working.

I can get all the buttons working on my mice but Side-Scroll is the big thing I want to work.

I got it working once by doing some serious voodoo on the xorg.conf file but after a reboot, it stopped working...
