Mouse problems

When I click on an icon on my desk top, three or four other icon also highlight at the same time. What causes this?

This symptom has nothing to do with the mouse. Check the " Shift " key, maybe something wrong with it.

U also could disconnect the keyboard at first.

If you are using Windows XP (or Vista, i guess) you might also make certain "sticky keys" aren't enabled under accessibility options.

I finally disabled accessibility on my PC because I kept accidentally activating it.
