When I click on an icon on my desk top, three or four other icon also highlight at the same time. What causes this?
 
If you are using Windows XP (or Vista, i guess) you might also make certain "sticky keys" aren't enabled under accessibility options.

I finally disabled accessibility on my PC because I kept accidentally activating it.
