Mouse Problem

I transferred my wife's old computer into our daughter's room for her use after building my wife a new comp. Problem is I can't get a mouse to work on it now. Frozen pointer. I've tried different mice, and tried in both the serial and USB ports (both USB ports actually). Frozen pointer every time.

Any solution?

If you can get to Device Manager, try deleting the mouse driver and letting the system find and re-install it when you reboot.
