2. Plain ol microsoft wheel mouse

2. Logitech Mouseman Wheel. Love that thumb button for FPS.

Had a 2 (Logitech Mouseman +)but wore it out. Now I use a 1 MS optical explorer.

If you setup ALL the buttons right it's a fragging machine, I like the feel and I've had many a ball mouse since the late 80's.

how do you assign the thumb button in FPS?

Under the Mouse Properties, I set the thumb button to middle button therefore making it "mouse3". Then I just bind mouse3 to the key I want it to act as.

logitech mouseman optical. it had problems with the wood surface of my desk (had some parallel grain, when it went over the second it thought it was back on the first and would skip) but when put on a mousepad it works just fine. haven't had any problems with it tracking when i picked it up, either. and the feel of gliding is so much better than the ball. i still have my old mouseman wheel plugged in, just in case i ever play a twitch game the optical can't handle.
