Thinking Icemat for cool looks and next to no friction. Also Func or ratpadz. Looking for something a bit bigger than a standard one because i like to set my sensitivity down low. Using optical mx510 so less friction = better for me. what are ya'll using?

I have heard that the icemat gets scratches and makes an annoying noise when using. I personnal have a ratpadz pad and love it. When the slickness goes away just put some pledge on it and its like brand new. Also if you want even one step better buy those little stickys that go on the feet of the mouse. Like 0 resistance then and you dont wear out your mouse

if you're doing fast swerves with RTS games or FPS games, you want to not have a mouse pad

i've tried a bunch of mouse pads, even the really nice looking ones with glary effects and a bunch of colors, they suck. yes, the ones that promise you excellent performance, on various websites, they suck. i'm playing starcraft, and I can't even setup my units properly because of the freakin' unwated swerves that come and go.

just get a nice Logitech mouse, where the sensors can pick up strongly according to the slightest movement

Yeah, but what surface are you using that DOESN'T casue swerves? I mean, you have to put it on something. I use one of those giant fry's compusa mats which wear out quickly but are cheap. I sometimes put a ratpadz on top but I don't think the "smoothness" gained is realistic... I probably just need mouse feet.
