Setting up my PC again. I used to have some cool mouse pads, but I can't remember what they are called. One was just a sheet of sticky paper, made by 3M, I believe. What is the latest these days?

Not what you're looking for, but I REALLY like IceMats. Basically a pretty hardy sheet of matte glass, very smooth sliding. If you have teflon footies on your mouse it really is like gliding on ice.

I use a very large fabric pad (QcK+). Works great with the PTFE strips under my mouse.

No, I think those go on the mouse. I am talking about a pad that is some sort of 3m sticky paper you paste onto your desk top.

what was that stuff some forum members were testing here a few years back?
i think that was an adhesive teflon sheet. i can't think of the company that was marketing it or the name they gave it.

Nope. My desk top is laquered black, like a piano. Basically, it is too reflective for a laser mouse. If I move my mouse across my desk, the cursor does not move.

depends on the desk, even with nice teflon tape it slowly will wear through your desk finish.
