Mouse pad like thing for bed?

I want to use my laptop in bed, and want to use a mouse. Obviously regular mouse pads are impractical. Tried using books but they don't really work. Any ideas? Do they make maybe like a hard surfaces mouse pad put on type some bean bagie or something or other so it would sit nicer on the bad? Any ideas appreciated. Thanks!
 
Get a piece of MDF or plywood, if you have the tools to cut it to size then cut it to slightly larger than the mousepad you plan on using, if not usually Home Depot or Lowes will cut it to size for you.

Sand the edges

Get some contact cement and glue a soft mousepad on it.
 
Logitech Anywhere Mouse lets me use it on the couch, bed, blanket, etc... Think I saw it on Slickdeals where it's on sale for $25 at BestBuy.
