Mouse on while computer off?

Just built a new system, and I noticed that my mouse (standard logitech corded optical) stays powered and on when the computer is turned off. My old system didn't do this. I'm assuming it's normal but figured I would ask just to make sure, as I've never seen it before. Mobo is a Gigabyte GA965P-S3 which I'm guessing is what's causing this.
 
It is normal. I have had a few systems where either the keyboard or mouse or both remain on when the pc is off.
 
I only use wireless mice, so I can't test it, but I have options in the bios to use either the mouse or the keyboard to power on the system. If the they were turned off, I'm not sure if they would remain hot or not.
