Mouse not responding correctly?

I've had my MX700 (cordless) for about 1 year now, and I've had it on a very high sensitivity the whole time.

I play a lot of Counter-Strike: Source, and I noticed that my aim is much better at a lower sensitivity. However, with my mouse, whenever I lift it up and put it back down, it takes a fraction of a second to start responding (a very noticable fraction of a second).

I'm wondering if this is normal for such a high-end mouse, especially with all the great reviews I've read about the MX700 (even for gaming)!

The MX510 looks like a very good option right now, that's probably what I'll get if I can't get this working. I'm guessing a corded mouse won't have that problem. Is that correct?

I have the MX700 nothing like that here. It seems to be a common occurence with Logitech mouses. Where is your reciever located and on what surface? I noticed the more smooth surfaces (not perfectly smooth) slowed it down during lift ups.

you must pick it up very high or something. i use the same mouse on lowest possible sensitivity in cs source... so yes i pickup a bit, but no pause. keep the reciever close as possible.

Hmm... I'll try to put the reciever on the other side of my monitor when I get home.

Right now the reciever is on the left of my monitor. My sensitivity in CS:S is at 5.5, but I have my windows sensitivity very low, maybe that's causing the problem... :-/
