I bought a refurbished blue Razer Copperhead mouse from Woot.com a little over a week ago. I didn't get it and hook it up until Friday.

I'm having a weird issue with my mouse now. Ever since I started using this mouse and installed the new drivers and firmware anytime I click something it simultaneously looses focus. This makes the mouse basically impossible to use. The problem goes away when I call up the Task Manager with Ctrl+Alt+Del and then close it. I uninstalled the drivers and any old software related to my old Logitech iFeel mouse and the problem persists.

I reinstalled the drivers and made sure the mouse's firmware was the most recent. I still have the same problem.

The odd thing though is the problem is there even if I swap out the new mouse for my old one. The only thing I changed with the system are the mouse drivers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do a system restore to the last good date before the mouse. Then stick with your old mouse drivers. What you have is a probable registry problem - S/R should fix that.

I did a system restore to two days before the problem showed up. It was still there. So I undid the system restore and it seemed like the problem went away, but then I restarted and it was back. I don't know.

Bad sensor? Give Razer a call before the refurb warranty is up and RMA it for a new one.

Well if anyone it wondering I did RMA it to Razer. I found that my old mouse only shared the problem if the Razer mouse was plugged in first. A clean reboot with only my old mouse connected experienced no problems at all; so it most assuredly was the Razer mouse.
