Mouse incompatible with router... geez, is that possible?

Problem: Cursor slows to a crawl. Problem is intermittant. Sometimes it dies and stays dead for 10 or 15 minutes at a time before it unfreezes and acts like a normal cursor, zipping and flying around again at the speed of sound. In dysfunctional mode, when it slows to a crawl, right clicking and left clicking on something does nothing, nada, zero! It's a cordless, laser mouse. The batteries are fine.

What Logitech the manufacturer says: They say I might need to place the router as far away as possible from the mouse. Does that sound right, or are they off their rocker? Right now I have the router placed behind the monitor, about a two and a half feet away from the mouse. Logitech says the farther away the better, 10 feet and more if possible, it's all about keeping them seperated! Does that make any sense, that a router needs to be kept away from the mouse in order for the mouse to work properly?

This is a common problem with wireless routers and wireless mice. Just change your router's channel setting through the web browswer menu, should be 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 to get to the set-up menu.

Some wireless mice have a two channel switch. That would also work.

hmm... i have a logitech wireless mouse with my wireless router sitting about 3 feet away, never had a problem.
