Mouse Double Clicking Problems

Hey all, i have the microsoft Intellimouse Optical Special Edition, and every so often it keeps acting up, when i single click it will double click, i checked my double click speeds, and they are fine.. Is the mouse going bad, lemme know

If that happens to me, I just rapidly click all the mouse buttons to "unstick" them. If that doesn't work, I'd return it for a different one.
 
It sounds like a bad switch making erratic contact. My experience is that they seldom heal up spontaneously. Time to replace.
