mouse choppiness

my mouse has been choppy when im browsing folders in windows explorer, probably other places too but its most noticable there.. it wasn't doing it until yesterday when i reinstalled windows.. I've got the latest 4in1s, detonator drivers, etc.. does anyone know what might be doing it?
