Mouse and keyboard, not working properly

I have a g15 logitech keyboard and a mouse. I can tell both are working since I got a working LCD on the keyboard (the time, everything like that on the screen, is going swiftly) and I can move my mouse around the desktop. Problem is when I try using both of them, they don't work. When I hit a command or a control on either my keyboard or my mouse, it doesn't respond onto the screen. Like clicking on My Computer to do some navigating, I can't even get it highlighted, plus I can't use the arrow keys since the computer doesn't recognize the controls coming from both the keyboard and the mouse.

What kind of problem is this and how can I fix it?
