I received BF3 as a gift recently and don't believe that I've ever had so much trouble with mouse sensitivity before. The smallest mouse movements will completely move my cross hairs from one side of an enemy to the other(without a scope) while aiming.
In windows 7, I have the mouse sensitivity set to 6 (from reading, this is suppose to be the proper spot to ensure you are getting raw data straight from your mouse to your game) I also have the enhanced mouse precision checkbox unchecked.
My mouse isn't anything special. It was the highest DPI mouse available when I picked it up at walmart. I can't remember the specs now exactly but it wasn't necessarily a cheap one.
I also keep seeing mention of BF3 having 'negative mouse acceleration' problems.
So what gives? Do I need to put some money into a gaming mouse? What is considered the best DPI for FPSs?
