I find the mouse acceleration feature very annoying and highly inaccurate which makes me turn it off everytime I install or reinstall Windows. Just wondering if I'm alone in this.

Edit. Added Poll

Being a gamer, especially FPS (C.S 1.6) I find Mouse Accel very annoying. I've always had it off in windows and then it would activate back up in the game making things frustrating. At least it finally is off in the game and now it's very fun to play those shooting games again.

Go to Control Panel, then Printers and Other Hardware, then Mouse, finally Pointer Options. You'll see a place for a check where it says 'Enhance Pointer Precision.' Place a check there for accelereation.

With acceleration on, your mouse pointer will move according to the distance as well as the speed of your mouse which makes pointer control a little bit more tricky.

I have my settings on default (acc. on) and I have for as long as I've had computers... I have no problems playing games and Im actually pretty good at CS1.6 as someone mentioned earlier :Q in a tight situation (someone behind you) its easier to turn around) but when casually looking its normal and more accurate

max speed no accel here. Use MAX speed. Move the mouse a millimeter and make it move a full scree'ns worth.

I truely don't feel I am playing better or worse with mouse acceleration on or off.

So I just play on.
